My hearty congratulations to the BBC and to Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse for sinking to the depths in their latest "comedy show". The highlight of the new agenda driven show was Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse portraying Laurel and Hardy.

The sketch climaxed with "Ollie" bending "Stan" over and buggering him. When their wives turned up apparently "Ollie's" penis was stuck inside "Stan's" arse and it's removal was accompanied by a cork popping sound.

Having been a fan of Laurel and Hardy all my life I am disgusted by this utter s*&t.

Having not heard much from Harry Enfield recently, I can honestly say that I hope I never hear from this c%$t again.

Congratulations to all who contributed to this depravity, just when you thought the BBC had plumbed the depths they show their utter contempt for decency.

I am always amused when the main parties presume to lecture everyone on the criminality of a certain party without ever providing proof.

Sanctimonious MP should look at his own party in racism debate

It's a bit rich of sanctimonious MP Andrew Dismore to lecture us all about racism when his New Labour Government has presided over the biggest rise in racial tensions that this country has ever seen.

The mass influx of hapless immigrants coming to the UK to find work are being cynically exploited by this government, not only as voting fodder to keep Labour permanently in power, but also as slave labour to suit New Labour's greedy and ruthless capitalist friends.

We only have to remember the Chinese cockle pickers, who died as a result of Labour's lack of protection for immigrant workers, to know who the real racists in our country are.

Incidentally, the anti-white racism and anti-Christian abuse in Britain today has resulted in a terrifying situation. The indigenous population and Christians in particular are now completely alienated, demoralised and discriminated against in their own country.

When New Labour came to power, there were only a handful of British National Party councillors and now there are more than 50.

So much for Mr Dismore and his so-called anti-racist' party.

The defence secretary says he takes full responsibility for decisions which allowed the 15 sailors and marines held by the Iranians to sell their stories.
Des Browne, speaking for the first time since the row, said with hindsight he could have done things differently and said "ultimately, the buck stops here".

And ..... what now?

There was a time when taking responsibility meant actually just that, when the phrase "the buck stops here" preceded some sort of serious action and in all probability the resignation of the said individual.

Sadly, as with everything that is NU Labour, the usual conventions do not apply. Time and again they come on the television, apologise that things are not as they should be, tell us that lessons will be learnt and then go back to their troughs and produce more of the same.

As for Mr Cameron, we now hear what he thinks about the Government and MOD's initial decision to let the sailors sell their story. I guess we would have heard from him earlier but I suspect it took a couple of days for his focus groups to let him know what his opinion was.

Mr Browne is due to make a statement on Monday: for his handling of this debacle and for his complicity in the deaths of all our servicemen I hope he resigns, but I won't hold my breath.

Scenes of violence outside mosque

Police have launched an investigation after violent clashes involving up to 200 people outside a mosque.

The clashes, which lasted five hours, followed tensions among people who use the mosque and is the second such incident in two years, police said.

Reading the story, it is very difficult to understand quite what is going on. Is it reporting that a group of Mosque - goers were attacked and the police are calling on the local community for calm OR is it that disparate groups of muslims engaged in fighting outside the Mosque for the second time in two years and the police are asking the muslim community for calm and good sense?

The answer would be easy if the BBC actually carried out it's role as a news service rather than a propaganda ministry.

Time will tell.

Defence Secretary Des Browne said the Navy had faced a "very tough call" over its decision to allow the sailors among the 15 hostages to take payments in return for their accounts - the first of which were published today.
But he said everyone concerned recognised it had "not reached a satisfactory outcome" and lessons must be learned from a review of procedures ordered by the Ministry of Defence.
"I want to be sure those charged with these difficult decisions have clear guidance for the future," he said in his first comment on the controversy.

Clear guidance ....... NuLAbour........ Yet another example of Government by spin and focus groups.

Labour 'facing large BNP challenge'

Jon Cruddas said the BNP was putting up 750 candidates - more than double the 350 it fielded in last year's local elections in England. Actually I believe it is 828!

The MP for Dagenham, east London, where the BNP won 11 council seats last year, said the BNP was "thriving" in some poor areas - particularly former Labour heartlands, where it was positioning itself as an alternative to the main parties. The BNP is thriving in plenty of areas, many of which are not poor at all as I am sure will be shown in the upcoming elections.

"The BNP is attempting to capitalise on peoples feelings of insecurity," he said.
Hmm, I wonder where this insecurity comes from?

"We have less than a month to convince people that the BNP represent a very real threat to communities and they should not be considered as a viable alternative to the mainstream parties or even to register a protest vote."

A threat to communities. I'm sorry Mr Cruddas but very few people are listening to you and your kind anymore. Why would we be interested in anything you have to say. We have had 10 years of Nu Labour during which time you could easily have convinced us that there is no viable alternative to your party by improving the country rather than turning it into the depraved lawless s&*t hole that it now is.

No, we have seen what it is to be run by Nu Labour, we have heard from both the other main parties that we could expect more of the same from them.

Fury as bishops back Iran

The Roman Catholic bishop who oversees the armed forces has provoked fury by praising the Iranian leadership for its "forgiveness" and "act of mercy" in freeing the 15 British sailors and marines last week.

The Bishop of the Forces, the Rt Rev Tom Burns, said that the religious beliefs of the Iranians had played a large part in their decision to release the hostages after holding them for more than two weeks.

Bishop Burns said he had issued an appeal to Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, "in the name of his nation and in the name of Islam", to free the sailors and marines, but he could not be sure whether his appeal had reached the authorities in Iran.
He added that the Iranian's Islamic faith shared many religious values with Christianity. "Over the past two weeks, there has been a unity of purpose between Britain and Iran, whereby everyone has sought justice and forgiveness where that is appropriate," he said.

A unity of purpose between Britain and Iran? Does that extend then to Britain wishing to blow Israel off the face of the earth? Is this one of the many values that Christianity share with sections of the Islamic faith? The illegal seizure and contravention of the Geneva convention, the tying up, blindfolding and threatening of personnel is justice?

His words were echoed by a leading Anglican figure, the Right Rev Michael Nazir-Ali, the Bishop of Rochester, who said Iran had acted within the "moral and spiritual tradition of their country" and contrasted this with Britain's "free-floating attitudes".

Do these people not pay attention to what is going on around the world? Are they not aware of the extermination of Christians that is taking place in so many countries and regions that are under militant and extremist control? What about the Pope's Easter message:

".........terrorism and kidnapping of people, of the thousand faces of violence which some people attempt to justify in the name of religion, of contempt for life, of the violation of human rights and the exploitation of persons."

The Government, the media, the BBC, the Senior Officers in the Armed Services, the MOD and the Church; isn't there anyone who has the patriotism and courage of their convictions to stand up for Britain and Christianity anymore?

The Rt Rev Tom Butler, the Bishop of Southwark, said that mistakes in the Government's foreign policy had damaged society and radicalised Muslims, leaving them alienated and resentful.

The frightening thing about 7/7 is that they seemed to be ordinary young men from Leeds who didn't look to be fanaticals, but they'd become sufficiently alienated to take this action.

Fortunately some in this country still know what patriotism is.

The 15 Navy personnel captured by the Iranians were thankfully released unharmed. People have expressed differing views of their conduct ranging from their actions being seen as heroic through to cowardly.

Whatever their actions were, a professional armed service described by Senior Officers as the "best in the world" should not have serving Officers and enlisted men behaving as cheap celebrities from a reality TV show.

I understand that not all of the sailors and marines intend to receive payment for their story and I commend this position.

To any who do and keep the money, shame on you. Shame on your Senior Officers, shame on the MOD and most importantly shame on Blair and this bankrupt administration for bringing disgrace to this nation.

I just caught a bit on the news regarding global warming. Well, it's been a couple of weeks since we were treated to it so I guess we were due.

Anyway, it turns out that the intergovernmental panel on climate change have found out that the public has already put to much CO2 into the atmosphere to stop global warming.

It appears that Governments must take control of the situation in order to protect the public.

Apparently the way forward is for the Government to introduce additional controls on the public.

In addition, the Government needs to introduce a lot of new taxes, paid for by the public.

Hmmm!

Released sailors tell of ordeal

Royal Navy personnel seized by Iran were blindfolded, bound and held in isolation during their 13 days in captivity, the crew have said.

We are glad to have them back. To all those people on various blogs and comment pages who have congratulated the Iranians for the way they behaved during this incident and the way in which they treated the captives, I hope you pay close attention.

The same sort of rhetoric that came from Iran allowing you to feel so secure in your cosy world where there are no bad people just "misunderstood ones" has been shown for what it is.

Everyday the threat from these groups grows stronger and stronger and yet you act as apologists and sympathisers for their cause.

Throughout the Middle East barbaric acts are being carried out; men, women and children are being murdered on a daily basis and you apologise and say it is because the perpetrators have themselves been treated badly, are misunderstood, it is not their fault .......... and so on.

Perhaps this incident and the glaring differences between the Iranian account and the account of the victims will finally open your eyes to what is going on.

Reading the comments on the MODERATED BBC page it is clear that a lot of people have the view that the treatment of the Navy personnel is quite justified compared to the treatment by the Americans to those held in Guantanamo Bay.

You are no longer just misguided, you are no longer just an embarrassment to the rest of us, in the war against terrorism, you are traitors.

Politicians from all parties have put their differences aside in a bid to oppose the far-right British National Party.

All parties except the BNP presumably?

At a meeting in the Glamorgan Muslim Community Centre, Aberkenfig, near Bridgend, on Saturday, politicians including Environment Minister and Bridgend AM Carwyn Jones and Plaid Cymru candidate Bethan Jenkins pledged their commitment to tackling discrimination against ethnic minorities.

What about discrimination against ethnic majorities?

The Bridgend Unite Against Fascism Group, which organised the gathering, believes the BNP is a racist party which poses a threat to democracy and freedom.

Aha, that clears it all up then. What poses a threat to democracy and freedom? Is it a legally constituted party that behaves at all times in a democratic way by campaigning on the issues and seeking election with a mandate from the people? Or is the threat to democracy from groups who have already severely restricted freedom of speech, groups who subvert the election process by attempting to intimidate law abiding members of the public who are going about their lawful right to campaign for any legal party they wish to?

Who are these people to force their undemocratic views on the people in the name of democracy? Anyone who attempts to take away people's right to participate in free and fair elections has no right whatsoever to claim they stand against facism, let alone for freedom and democracy.

If the BNP is a racist party which poses a threat to democracy and freedom then I am sure that no one will vote for them.

That is democracy, that is freedom.

Greens want to axe Catholic schools.

THE Greens have called for the abolition of Catholic schools in Scotland.

The party, who hope to win at least 10 seats at Holyrood, have included moves for Catholic schools to be integrated into a secular state system in their manifesto.

Green leader Robin Harper claimed that having separate schools "tends to divide communities".

He said: "Catholic children, for most of their time in primary and secondary, do not mix with other children.

"And children who are non-Catholics do not, because the Catholics are educated separately, tend to mix so much with them.

A spokesman for the Catholic Church said: "It is unfortunate that the Greens want to trample on the rights of Catholic parents and the thousands of other parents who aren't Catholics but choose a Catholic education for their kids.
"This is an outrageous proposal."

Mr Harper is of course entitled to his views as are his party. However, I am always intrigued when people of this nature choose to be selective regarding who they criticise. Why single out Catholic schools? Why not call for the abolition of certain other religious schools? After all, to my knowledge there is only one faith that is in the process of opening more faith schools. Where are the Greens calls for their abolition?

Apart from attacking an established church in Britain, what else does the Green party have in mind?

Apart from the scrapping of improvements to transport infrastructure in Scotland in the name of "global warming", the Greens oppose the way young people have been "demonised" using anti-social behaviour powers and are robustly on the side of civil liberties and asylum seekers.

Shiona Baird, the Greens' co-convener, said: "If you have voted Green in the past, there could be no more important time to do so again. If you are voting for the first time, or considering voting Green for the first time, I urge you to back our vision for a socially just and internationally responsible Scotland."

"Socially just"; provided you fit in with their vision and are not from the wrong religious group is that?

3000 shoppers forced their way into the new Primark store on Oxford Street.

Queues were so bad that customers at the back of the queue wait almost 2 hours to enter the store. This was despite the fact that there were no bargains to be had and any customer who wanted to could have taken a short bus ride to the Hammersmith store and bought exactly the same stuff at the same price!

It truly is excellent news that the 15 members of the British Navy who were illegally seized by the Iranians in an act of war on the United Kingdom are to be released.

I have already read on several comments pages on the MSM and on several blogs that this act vindicates Blair's Governments cowardly stance on the whole affair.

Maybe we will truly continue to see peace in our time through appeasement and the rewarding of terrorists and rogue states. Who knows what is in the wind, 25 years since the Falklands and new calls for a return of the Malvinas to Argentina along with the "renegotiation" of ownership of oil rights in the region.

Britain under Blair and Nu Labour has become like a wounded animal, let's hope that are friends in the EU can keep the wolves at bay!

After all, with 80 odd percent of our laws coming from them and such a large net contribution from our economy, I am sure they will be only too pleased to speak up and act on our behalf, just like they did during this latest crisis. Didn't they?

A police force has admitted to letting off almost 100 sexual offenders with a caution in the last five years.

Figures reveal that no charges were brought by West Mercia Constabulary against 93 sex offenders - including eight rapists - between April 1 2001 and March 31 2006.
Instead of going to court, they were given a caution.

According to a police spokeswoman, "West Mercia Constabulary is committed to bringing offenders to justice and protecting members of the public. "

Cautions were given for 41 indecent assaults, eight rapes, 17 sexual assaults, nine sexual activity cases (including with a child), one gross indecency with a child, six unlawful sexual intercourse cases and 11 other sexual offences.

The spokeswoman continued. "When an individual accepts a caution, it is important to remember that a person must admit wrongdoing in order to receive a caution and it represents an admission of guilt."

A caution for rape, a caution for gross indecency with a child ... protecting members of the public...... is it me or is there something not quite compatible about the two statements?

I have always supported the police in the past, but when I read things like this I truly believe that they are wasting their time. They may as well disband and let everyone spend their tax money on their own personal security. At least that way someone will genuinely be concerned for their safety.

Firstly, let's clear this up right away. There is NO reduced crime risk, just the downgrading of so many offences to ensure that the figures say what Nu Labour want them to. How long will it be before armed robbery, GBH and aggravated burglary are downgraded?

Anyway, despite all the NU Labour lies regarding crime statistics, such is the failure of their spin machine these days, it appears that they are struggling to fool many of the people:

Three-quarters of people believe Britain is more dangerous today than it was five years ago, a survey has found.

In a blow for the Government, more than half of the public say they are so scared of yobs and crime they avoid certain areas, and four out of ten will not go out at night on foot.

Four out of ten have become so worried they have beefed up their home security.
Alarmingly, some 61 per cent felt frightened of being alone at home during the night - with 14 per cent hiding a weapon close to the bed.

Welcome to Blair's Britain - tough on the victims of crime.

Since 1998, Violence against the person is up 111 per cent - from 502,788 incidents to 1,059,913 last year.
Sexual offences are up 72 per cent from 36,174 to 62,081. And robbery is up 47 per cent - from 66,835 crimes to 98,204.

Crime is up, the prisons are full, taxes are up, the national health service is in terminal decline, unemployment is rising, housing shortage continues to affect the British population, utility bills are out of control.

Still, as far as NU Labour is concerned we have all benefited from multicultural enrichment so I guess we've never had it so good.

Teachers drop the Holocaust to avoid offending Muslims

As part of the continued downward spiral of educational standards it should come as no shock to find that the latest casualty is history lessons. What does come as a shock though is that this time it is not just a matter of dumbing down the lessons and adjusting the emphasis so as to marginalise the majority indigenous population in favour of glorious integration policies.

This time, schools are dropping the Holocaust from history lessons to avoid offending Muslim pupils, because some teachers are reluctant to cover the atrocity for fear of upsetting students whose beliefs include Holocaust denial.

Now whilst I understand that history can be somewhat subjective, are we to now assume that those schools and teachers involved agree with the historical detail of the holocaust or not?

Because if the curriculum looks at the second world war and does not mention the holocaust, then guess what, you are denying it.

Perhaps those teachers who support the dropping of historical facts from the curriculum should be reminded that Holocaust Denial is a criminal offence in the following European countries punishable by the associated sentences:

Austria: 6 months - 20 years
Belgium: Fine - 1 year
Czech Republic: 6 months - 2 years
France: Fine or 1 month - 2 years
Germany: Fine or 1 month- 5 years
Israel: 1 year - 5 years
Italy (law against racial discrimination): 3 years - 4 years
Lithuania: Fine or 2 years -10 years
Poland: Fine or 3 months - 3 years, Romania: 6 months or 3-5 years

With extradition treaties between all European states, and groups pressing for Holocaust Denial to become an EU wide offence, let us hope that these teachers find it in themselves to have the "courage" to tell the truth regardless of how inconvenient it may be lest they find themselves with the conviction instead.

A bit pressed for time today so I am posting an interesting piece off a political website. (Let me know if not ok)

I feel it sums up the views of many many people.

"A Daily Mirror reader has had an interesting and in our opinion, accurate letter printed in that newspaper - which, as we all know, is currently engaged in campaigning against the BNP on behalf of the Labour Party. On a point of fact the author of the letter is incorrect on one small point - the Daily Mirror is not owned by a "millionaire" (the thief, Robert Maxwell is long gone - thank goodness) but by the largely foreign-owned Trinity Mirror Group - yes - the Daily Mirror and the scores of local newspapers owned by that financially struggling group, is largely foreign owned!

The Letter.

Let’s face it Ros, this "campaign" is a very wispy smoke screen to cover a direct attack on the BNP and its policies just before the May elections.As such it is the type of subterfuge to get around the rules on election expenditure which we have come to expect from Nu Labour and its supporters i.e. although it’s an abuse of the spirit of the law it does not quite break it!

Your multimillionaire and Labour supporting publisher (who controls your copy through his control of who is editor) knows Labour has lost the trust of whole swathes of the white working class who predominantly make up the Mirrors readership.
They also know much of this support has gone to the BNP rather than the Liberals or the Tories, so he is using his ability to buy influence (i.e. the resources of this paper) to attack both individual members of the BNP like Nick Griffin and the party itself in this campaigns handout.

All hate and no hope there then!

It is therefore farcical to claim shock or indignation when the BNP point out the hollowness of your message in their opinion.Why didn't you offer a link to their response so that readers could decide for themselves?

Because you are afraid of allowing people to make there own mind up, rather than having you filter it and put your own spin as usual?

Please no nonsense about not wanting to promote hate, that excuse has well past its sell by date I am afraid.

Really, it’s about time you realised we ordinary people are not as gullible as we once unfortunately were. We just don’t trust you anymore, because you have proven false time after time.

Just take a long hard look at who actually attends your events; the only ordinary people you will find are there for the freebies, not because they share your beliefs, so stop kidding yourselves.

The British people are very angry and getting more so by the day, not with immigrants, asylum seekers or the BNP, but with the likes of you who have brought this country to an all time low and insist we should be grateful.

Maybe someday you can explain to the mothers of the child groomer’s victims up north how their children were selected because the perpetrators were "poor" and that the fact that none of the victims were Muslim was for the same reason.

Maybe you can explain to the school leaver who is best qualified for the job that his grandfather and father had that he can't have it because he is a native Britain and it must go to someone of another race who is less qualified because of "positive" discrimination and quotas.

Maybe you can explain why it is not raciest to imply that because they are mostly white an organisation the police is incapable of dealing fairly with other racial groups in their communities and needs lots of "ethnic" recruits but it would be raciest for a mainly white neighbourhood to ask for a white bobby.

Maybe you can explain why it’s still common for mainly white old people to have their care home shut, to freeze to death or to starve on a hospital ward because there is "no money" to keep it open, fund their heating bill (or explain how to claim the grant) or have someone to feed them so they don't choke.

But there is money to house thousands of asylum seekers and economic migrants, print government leaflets in every language under the sun (and fund translation services) and treat African Nationals with Aid’s for £250,000 a pop.

You don’t get more hateful than allowing your own old to die as far as most people are concerned, especially when you have the tax money and CHOOSE to spend it elsewhere.

Truly if anyone displays hatred it is those who perpetuate or support myths about the BNP. They create a climate in which people who do not share your views face violence and intimidation not for what they actually say or do but because of what campaigns like this say about them.

Oh, and if you ever want to see a baying mob, spitting, hurling abuse and desperate to attack people because they dare to be different from what the mob feels acceptable try watching an ANTI BNP demo, that is pure mindless hate at its worst as many a policeman would testify if his job were not on the line.

Two Hundred Thousand Asylum Seekers to get Amnesty

Up to 200,000 asylum seekers will be allowed to remain in Britain because Home Office officials admit they will never be able to track them down.
The extraordinary amnesty is the latest embarrassment for Home Secretary John Reid, who has staked his reputation on his pledge to make the department 'fit for purpose'.

Home Office officials also stated that 18,000 immigrants are set to be deported because they have committed crimes in the UK.

18000 immigrants - a quarter of the prison population, 25%.

A Home Office spokesperson said: "We remain confident that we will be able to clear the entire current legacy of cases by July 2011."

2011 - 4 years from now, and yet still they come!

John Reid has staked his reputation on his pledge to make the department fit for purpose. Where to start! The only reputation Mr Reid has is the one he shares with the rest of the reckless, duplicitous, anti-British traitors and liars that riddle this Government and NU Labour at all levels.

And as for embarrassment, don't make me laugh. When will people wake up to the fact that nothing embarrasses these people; they don't care about what you think of them, they don't care what you think of their policies, they don't care what you think of what they have done to your country, they don't care about you at all, not even the tiniest bit.

Nu Labour may have already caused irreparable damage to this country, and yet where are the voices of opposition? Looking to Cameron or Campbell for any sort of opposition is a total waste of time. They stand idly by as this country is turned into the cesspool of the world.

Is it not enough that we have seen our freedoms severely curtailed, taxes raised to an all time high, waiting times (real waiting times not massaged Government figures) for medical treatment at an all time high, deaths in hospital from super bugs at an all time high, huge numbers of the population unable to get access to a dentist, unemployment (real unemployment not massaged Government figures) at an all time high, crime rates (real crime rates not massaged Government figures) at an all time high, our Armed Forces reduced to third world levels and no longer able to provide the necessary support for our brave service men and women, Health and safety rules beyond all reason, stiffer sentences for dropping a Ginsters wrapper than for committing assault, speeding motorists surcharged to pay for domestic violence teams!, being told to apologise (and pay compensation) for something that came to an end 200 years ago (200 years for f%$#s sake), and many many many other things that have befallen our once great nation.

As a well known man recently said: "I am conscious that when an essential core of our democratic freedom risks being undermined, subsequent generations will hold to account those who were able to raise their voices yet stayed silent."

In what is clearly an act of war against our country, the Iranian government captures 15 British sailors and parades them in front of the camera for all the world to see.

What does Tony Blair do? What can he do? He and his Government have run our armed forces into the ground. The fact that the Iranians snatched the British navy personnel by using small boats does not come as any surprise as due to Tony and the rest, the Iranian navy may well soon be superior to our own.

As for the EU and the UN, what a waste of space they are. As usual, if you are not an "oppressed minority" (in their opinion) then you are not worth sticking up for.

Mr Blair, Government Ministers, main opposition parties in the UK, you are all a complete and utter disgrace.

You have let down the men and women you sent to fight in your name, you have let down the "British" people.

For God's sake go and let this country be run by people who have loyalty to the electorate and the courage and backbone to fight for what is right.

In the coming elections, I for one will be voting for the British National Party as they are the only party that represents the views and rights of the British people; the only party that would not send our troops off on world policing duties in the first place, but if our troops found themselves in this situation, would back them to the hilt.

If he were alive today, I am sure my Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Grandfather would be pleased to receive the warm thanks and generous words from the grateful masses regarding his part in the abolition of slavery and subsequent enforcement of this around the world.

I imagine he would be very disappointed to hear that despite his best efforts, slavery is still very much a part of daily life in some wider reaches of the globe.

Senior Judge decrees: Prisoners should not be deprived of their civil rights!

A convicted armed robber has won a landmark legal action claiming that a recorded message on his calls from prison breached his human rights.

The prisoner, who is at Glenochil in Clackmannanshire, said the words - "This call originates from a Scottish prison" - also "inhibited his social rehabilitation" and was embarrassing.

A 21 year sentence for assault and robbery, still, being robbed and or assaulted is in no way embarrassing so I can see where he is coming from.

A judge at the Court of Session in Edinburgh ruled that the message was unlawful under the European Convention on Human Rights.
Lord Glennie cited Article 8 of the Convention, which provides that everyone has the right to respect for his private and family life, his home and his correspondence.

Well, the European Convention on Human Rights is there to protect us all and to ensure that we are all respected in terms of our privacy and in our homes. Still, being robbed or assaulted in no way undermines the respect shown to the victims, so I can see where he is coming from.

He said: "In some societies it might be regarded as obvious that a person convicted of a criminal offence and sentenced to a period of imprisonment should, for the duration of his imprisonment, be deprived of his civil rights.

It seems totally obvious to me, and I am sure it does to the vast and overwhelming majority of law abiding citizens of this country.

"Such a notion has no place in our society."

What the $%&*!

John Smith - who spent four years in the RAF - said it was the only explanation for the fact that less than 10,000 of the UK's 200,000 personnel were from ethnic minorities."

He added: "I am not saying that people in the armed forces, individuals, are racists. I have no knowledge of that.
"What I am saying is that the armed forces are, by definition, de facto institutionally racist and it's about time this Parliament did something about it."

I tell you what you should do Mr Smith, and that is introduce quotas. That will solve your problem once and for all. That will sort out all the institutional racism once and for all. And whilst we're at it, lets have quotas based on sexuality and maybe even religious beliefs.

Of course, that might be a little problematic for this Government, as it seems that organisations can only be truly institutionally racist when they are "hideously white". I wonder if there are any organisations that under a quota system would be found to be not white enough? Hmm, I wonder.

As Leonard said in the previous post, rather than start afresh we have decided to carry on with this blog. On he grounds that two heads are better than one, I will now also be posting on the site and look forward to any comments you may like to make.

Anonymity is a quality that makes the Internet unique (a quality that is under constant threat, I might add) in that it affords a greater opportunity for free speech than appears to be granted under the oppressive regime currently operating in this country and across the whole of the EU.

The downside is that it is easy to post on other blogs as whomsoever you wish, and I have noticed that I have apparently commented on some blogs, as has Leonard, when in fact we have not. To this end, any post we make in future will be linked to this blog, so if it isn't linked, it isn't us.

We both hold the same views regarding the legitimacy of Israel to not only exist, but to defend that right at all costs, and we both come from a Christian background and will always uphold our right to worship in any way we wish. We do not require others to follow our doctrine, nor do we expect others to impose theirs.

As white heterosexual males in England we are all too aware that we are at the bottom of the pecking order and, as far as many people are concerned, we are solely responsible for all the evils in the world.

Unlike Leonard, I like the occasional profanity as I feel it can punctuate what you are trying to say.

Therefore to those that say we are responsible for the oppression of all nations, all ethnic groups, the subjugation of women and even for the sky falling in, I say:

BOLLOCKS.

To all the self hating apologists in this country I have one thing to say, but as I am a guest on this blog I invite you to use your imagination as to what it might be!

You know what, we are back. After some consideration, we decided to keep this blog going rather than start a new one as we had planned.

In our absence it appears that someone has been a naughty boy (or girl) and has been penning our name to some posts on one or two other blogs, tut tut. Still, that's the Internet for you, you never quite know who is who!

Just to clear up a mystery that may have been worrying some occasional visitors to this blog, Deakin is Blue is a homage to a band we both liked in our younger days and also to the fact that so many things in modern day Britain make us sad, and also that it fits in with my name! Clever huh!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is does not mean we are Tories! (Incidentally, aren't they symbolised by a green twig or something now?)

Quite often I read articles that are critical of someone or something and it is clear that the author has either never actually seen what it is they are writing about, or at best have only glanced at it.

Take a recent example where Ken Livingstone criticised Jade Goody for making comments about Shipla Shetty which in fact were made by Shilpa Shetty about Jade Goody. Red Ken "knew" that Jade Goody was in the wrong because he was told so, and as this particular story had previously been covered in one of the papers Ken may read, also incorrectly, perhaps this is where the information came from.

Whilst there is always more than one point of view, I believe it behoves someone to at least take a proper look themselves before passing comment and if they feel unable to spend the time necessary then maybe they should make no comment.

Nu Labour, the main stream media and certain affiliated political organisations thrive on the fact that most people do not bother to read anything properly, and therefore they can manage public opinion with sound bites, half truths, innuendo and just plain lies.

Many blogs exist so that people may have the opportunity to see a different perspective on the news and indeed to be able to see the news that the MSM refuses to publish. Whilst everyone has their own agenda, most readers would at least like to think that the writer(s) had at least took the time to do the most basic of research.

If commenting on stories, articles issues and other people's blogs is to be taken seriously, one should at least be able to demonstrate that they have read more than the sidebar.

I am taking a bit of a liberty by cutting and pasting from the comments section at the Daily Mail. If anyone objects, let me know and I'll take it off. It talks about the consequences of the prison fiasco and what I see as the Governments culpability in the death of an innocent woman.

There is already a crime of corporate manslaughter, why not one for Government manslaughter?

It's a terrifyingly familiar story. Twice the courts had the chance to put drug addict Sean Francis behind bars for beating his girlfriend and threatening to kill her. Twice they let him walk free.

So what happened next? Less than 24 hours after his second release, it emerged yesterday, Francis stabbed Wendy Billing to death in front of their toddler son.
There'll be many more cases like that in the months ahead.

When Francis struck last September, magistrates and judges were already under intense pressure from the Home Office to ease prison overcrowding by granting bail and awarding non-custodial sentences.

Today Ministers have cranked up that pressure tenfold, with a panic-stricken letter to the courts urging them to set free all but the most serious criminals.

How could they so shamelessly neglect their duty to protect the public?

For years, Ministers have been warned of the desperate need for more prison places. Why, the Home Office's own statisticians predict we may need another 20,000 by 2011.

Even if Home Secretary John Reid gets round to providing all the 8,000 extra places he promises - and there's precious little sign of that - he'll still be more than 12,000 short.

Who knows how many more Wendy Billings will have to pay with their lives for the Government's abject failures?

What it means to be British is complicated! (No it is not!)

Nobby sent me a link to the BBC News article entitled "Yorkshire clan linked to Africa".
In the article it tells us that research by two scientists, Turi King and Mark Jobling have shown that some men in Yorkshire have a genetic link to African Tribes going back centuries.

It then goes onto tell us therefore that:

"...... showed that Britain has always been composed of a mosaic of different people.
Professor Jobling echoed this view: "This study shows that what it means to be British is complicated and always has been," he said.
"Human migration history is clearly very complex, particularly for an island nation such as ours, and this study further debunks the idea that there are simple and distinct populations or 'races'."

What a blatant attempt to continue this "Britain is a nation of immigrants" crap. This is a further attack on the British identity, a concerted effort to justify the MASS immigration into this country and the continued displacement of the indigenous population from huge swathes of this country.

Well you know what, I consider this to be a non swearing block otherwise I would be saying to the two scientist, f$£% you and %'##k your research. Next they will be telling us that people who lived here in 1066 or whenever did not procreate and produce children who then lived on and did the same down the years, perhaps they will show us that each generation was supplemented with economic migrants to make up the numbers.

I've had enough of this crap. You go along with legislation that is put in place to ensure that there is integration, you try to understand the curtailing of free speech to allow for multiculturalism, but we are beyond that now. This country is no longer about multiculturalism, it is no longer about integration, it is about the wholesale destruction of British identity.

Also on the BBC news site is the discussion about teaching children what it is to be British, just like you teach French or History. How dare they. How dare they treat the generations of people who have called this Island home as if all our traditions, culture, achievements and way of life is something to be learnt on a wet afternoon in April.

I am white, I am British, my parents are, their parents were, their grand parents were, and theirs before them etc. I am sick and tired of all this crap about what it is to be British, to me if you have to ask the question!

I do not nor would ever condone verbal attacks on other ethnic groups or other nationalities and I damn sure won't accept it when it is aimed at me.

The sooner that this Government with it's anti-white and anti-British policies is voted out the better.

Interesting article in the Telegraph regarding UKIP and the Conservatives, nice piece by EU Referendum and especially interested that others are nodding towards the BNP as the New Conservatives!

But, for those who would not now vote for UKIP even if hell froze over, there are other options, not least the British National Party. The problem here is that, although it is branded "extreme right-wing", it is in fact a far-left party. And while UKIP is capturing the disaffected right, BNP is Hoovering up votes from the disaffected old Labour left. In the heady days of the Thatcher revolution, these were the people - the "White van man" - who gravitated to the Conservatives and gave them 18 years of power.

Perversely, while the leaders of the main parties would all like to claim the mantle of Thatcher, the recipient of her now disillusioned support is Nick Griffin, the leader of the BNP. Effectively, he is the true heir of Thatcherism.

Criminals to get free passes under Nu Labour

I knew 2007 was going to be a very interesting year for Britain, but I really didn't expect so much to have already happened. It's not even the end of January and yet we already have the melt down of law and order in this country, but guess what, it's all for the benefit of the taxpayer.

Desperate Ministers will beg judges to stop sending criminals to prisons - because they are full.
A letter will be sent to courts across the country admitting that jails are officially in crisis.
It pleads for only the most violent or dangerous criminals to be given a custodial sentence. Magistrates are also being asked to allow bail to all but the most serious crime suspects.

It urges that suspects such as burglars be bailed rather than remanded and follows on from Mr Reid's recent statement that taxpayers' money should not be 'squandered' on locking up or monitoring offenders who would be better punished in the community.

Ah, so as usual it is for our benefit that criminals will be allowed to act with impunity!

How many additional victims will be created due to the incompetence of this Government? Should all victims of crime be able to sue the Government for negligence when they are attacked by someone who should have been behind bars. No wonder the Government has no interest in mandatory sentencing when it needs to change the rules on a daily basis.

Mr Reid has promised that there will be an additional 8000 places in the spring so does that mean offences committed in the next few months will receive lesser sentences than those later on in the year?

And when will the new prison places be available, just in time for the May elections perhaps?

And one final question, why the sudden massive explosion in the prison population, in the number of people awaiting trial and the number of people who would ordinarily have gone to prison if there had been room? Surely it's not down to, no wait, just let me move this elephant out of the way.

"The BBC, which glories in being open-minded is, in fact, a closed thought-system, operating a kind of Orwellian newspeak," said Mr Dacre.

Mr Dacre, who was delivering the annual Hugh Cudlipp lecture at the London College of Communication, also stated that Mr Cameron should not take the Mail's support for granted at the next election.

"The Mail's a Conservative paper. It would be very surprising if we didn't support the Conservatives.
"Whether the present Conservative party is Conservative I don't know. We shall see," said Mr Dacre.

Law 'threat' to Catholic adoption

Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor has written to the Cabinet to say church teaching prevented its agencies placing children with homosexual couples.

He says forcing agencies to act against their consciences would constitute discrimination against Catholics.

The Equality Act is due to come into effect in April.
It outlaws discrimination in the provision of goods, facilities and services on the basis of sexual orientation in a similar way to rules on sex and race discrimination.

Although I do not support discrimination against any group in principle, I am totally against any organisation or legislation that prevents discrimination by discriminating against others

The problem with Nu Labours desire to outlaw discrimination in any form is that it has to discriminate in order to not discriminate! Now we have the example in which the Equality Act will place the rights of homosexuals not to be discriminated against above the right of Religious Groups to have the freedom of conscience and religion; in other words, everyone is equal in their right not to be discriminated against, but some are more equal than others.

Cardinal Murphy-O'Connor says Roman Catholic teaching about the foundations of family life rules out the choice of homosexual adoptive parents.
The cardinal said the closure of the seven agencies would represent a wholly avoidable "tragedy".
Its agencies are said to handle 4% or about 200 of all adoptions a year but about a third of those children judged difficult to place.

BBC Religious Affairs Correspondent Robert Pigott said the letter suggests the Catholic Church is ready for a fight.

Well it is about time that they did put up a fight. A certain other religious group in this country continues to grow in influence due to the vocal nature of it's "congregation".

Interestingly enough, this new legislation also conflicts with their views on sexuality, and so left unchallenged, Nu Labour could well have to face the ignominy of presiding over a contest between homophobia and islamaphobia.

Not fit for purpose 2

Having previously commented about the policewoman who seems unable to carry out her duties on religious grounds, it appears that we need not worry. Although the reasons may be different, it appears that she may be in good company when it comes to being unable to take appropriate action.

The Metropolitan Police are routinely issuing cautions to muggers, it was revealed today.
The force handed out 329 cautions for street robbery last year - even though the offence carries up to five years in prison.

Now according to the Home Office, a caution is 'a warning given to adults who admit they are guilty of first-time minor offences, such as vandalism or petty theft'.

So mugging doesn't really come into this category, nor does the 474 cautions given for burglary or the 617 for car theft, or the 1,477 for drug possession excluding cannabis, or the 5,216 for shoplifting, or the 5,955 for assault, excluding common assault.

A police spokeswoman said: "Every case is considered on an individual basis and the overriding factors are whether a caution is appropriate to the offence and the offender and whether a caution is likely to be effective in the circumstances.
"The aims of the caution are to deal quickly and simply with less serious offences, to divert offenders where appropriate from appearing in the criminal courts and to reduce the likelihood of re-offending."

Reduce the likelihood of re-offending! Who is she trying to kid, a caution for violent assault and burglary is no deterrent whatsoever.
The problem is that with the police unwilling to defend the law abiding citizen the temptation might be to fight back yourself. I bet if you do, you won't be let off with a caution.

Unfortunately as with more and more of Britain's institutions, the British Police Service is not fit for purpose.

No I'm not referring to the new series of the Channel Four comedy drama about the family from Manchester, rather another family who currently hail from London but who would certainly give the Gallaghers a run for their money.

The Human Rights Act, the modern day criminal and terrorists charter, does in fact appear to provide more than just a cover to prevent photographs of escaped prisoners being published, or terrorists and illegal immigrants from being deported.

And who better to exploit the provisions of her husbands, sorry, Her Majesty's Governments legislation than one of the top Human Rights Lawyers in the land.

"Cherie Blair accused Britain’s top civil servant of violating her human rights as he tried to rein in her fondness for freebies, it was claimed yesterday.
She left the Cabinet Secretary ‘gobsmacked’ by claiming she was entitled to cut-price designer clothes under the Human Rights Act.
And she repeatedly argued with officials over claims that she tried to exploit her position to make money. "

Although the revelations have been dismissed by a Downing Street spokesman as mostly untrue or widely exaggerated tittle-tattle, it does appear that as with most things Blair (or Nu Labour) there are more questions than answers.

"Among the clothes Mrs Blair is said to have acquired was a £10,000 red and gold brocade dress by Lindka Cierach which she wore to an awards ceremony in October 2003 and again at a dinner in Nigeria the following month.
When Sir Andrew criticised her over the discounts, she reportedly told him he was infringing her rights ‘under Article 1 of the European Convention on Human Rights on an individual’s right to do as they like with their own property’. "

Although I had thought the Big Brother bull%&$* might have passed, a piece in the Daily Mail confirms how desperate some "people" are to perpetuate certain stereotypes.

The Big Brother race row could have repercussions for the UK's tourist trade, a Visit Britain official has said.
Bernard Donoghue, Head of Government and Public Affairs at the national tourism agency, said visitors from India were worth £226 million to the UK economy.

He told GMTV's Sunday Programme: "Our brand of Britain is universally seen around the world as welcoming, friendly, tolerant, accepting and inviting."

Mr Donoghue said he was confident the problem could be managed by promoting events such as the "Bollywood Oscars", being held in Yorkshire later this year.
He said: "That's a fantastic opportunity to prove how we celebrate Bollywood in a way that maybe Channel 4 has not done this week."

Look I know the man has a job to do, but what the hell is he talking about?

This is Britain, we have our own unique culture, our own customs and traditions going back hundreds if not thousands of years. That is what we should be celebrating and what should be central to any so called Brand of Britain. Yes we are tolerant, friendly, accepting and inviting, traditions which are deeply rooted in the British culture and do not require apologies such as "proving how we celebrate Bollywood. "

Anyone who stays away as a result of comments by one or more individual on a trash TV programme would only be demonstrating their own bigotry and ignorance.

Fortunately not every nation in the world has been overrun with the self loathing and hypocrisy that appears to have taken firm root in this one, and so most people are far too sensible to pay any attention to this media contrived nonsense.

In a mature, democratic, intelligent society, one accepts that for many jobs there may well be one or two prerequisites. To be a Veterinary Surgeon one must be academically qualified, to be a driver one must have a certain level of eyesight and have passed a test, employment in the fire service requires a certain level of fitness and so on.

So what about the police service, how about a serving police officer who is not able to touch half of all members of the public? Ridiculous, silly, that would never happen!

Well remember, this is Blair's (and Brown's) Britain, and here commonsense gives way all the time to political correctness and the appeasement of certain religions.

A muslim woman police officer has sparked a new debate by refusing to shake hands with Britain's most senior police chief for religious reasons.
The incident happened at a passing-out parade where Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Ian Blair was inspecting a line-up of 200 recruits.

In addition to refusing a traditional congratulatory handshake from Sir Ian, the WPC - who wore a traditional Muslim hijab headscarf - also declined to be photographed with him as she did not want the picture used for 'propaganda purposes'.

The woman had earlier insisted that it was contrary to her religious teaching for her to touch a man.

Imagine another police officer on patrol who is attacked and calls upon this colleague to assist, what will be the response?

Is it not enough that we have police officers refusing to protect certain sectors of society due to their religious beliefs? It is completely outrageous.

Thousands of applications are turned down each year by young men and women who would love to be police officers, warts and all.

By all means recruit from minority groups if it will ensure an all inclusive police service, but one thing must be certain, the recruits themselves must be fit for purpose.

According to the Observer:

"The EU faces a damaging split over moves led by Germany to impose a radical law and order package. If enacted into European legislation, it would allow armed police to operate with impunity outside their home countries, privatised armed 'sky marshals' on civilian flights and a wide range of joint operations against alleged illegal migrants."

"The plans are provoking opposition in Whitehall and among senior British police officers. Many of them recall how, in 1996, a Dutch parliamentary inquiry revealed that tonnes of illegal drugs had been exported from the Netherlands to Britain with the assistance of Dutch undercover agents, who had allowed informants to run amok.
'We have learnt the hard way how difficult it is to regulate undercover operations,' one source said, citing a series of high-profile Customs and Excise cases that collapsed in the Court of Appeal after irregularities came to light. 'We need to be extremely wary.'"

When I first read it I was of the opinion that it should be opposed at all costs, but when you consider that most of the law of this land is dictated by Europe, why not have a European police force. After all, detection rates in some police "service" areas are as high as 3%, could foreign police "forces" do any worse?

Mind you, the EU does not have a good reputation for the practical application of cooperation

For example, what was the response when Mr Reid faced the first crisis over prisons last year, and asked his European counterparts to accommodate some of their nationals currently in British jails? NO,NO,NO,NO,NO!

You see, when it comes to Europe it is always a one way street.

I don't blame the EU, after all the same principal applies here as to most things, if you don't like it, leave. No, the problem unsurprisingly is with Nu Labour who are determined to finish off any independence this country has, and they are making good progress.

So why not let foreign armed police into Britain, let them make the news by either shootings in public or lots of high profile arrests, after all, when you consider that the majority of new applications to the Northern Ireland police service were from Polish Nationals, we're half way there already.

Of course, a radical alternative might be to consider the EU as a trade partnership instead of allowing it to continue imposing it's will on oppressed Nations who at no time voted for it, but then, that would be called democracy, and this is Great Britain after all!

I am very pleased to hear that a leading Muslim has called for a police enquiry following the recent Dispatches programme on Channel Four.

Ghayasuddin Siddiqui, the head of the Muslim Parliament of Great Britain, called for imams and mosque leaders to be questioned amid claims that forces were reluctant to act.

He also expressed concern that a Muslim primary school teacher, secretly filmed while he delivered a diatribe against Jews, Christians and "filthy non-Muslim doctors", has been allowed to remain in his job.

Although I cannot recollect voting in the elections for the Muslim Parliament, (probably lost in the post) any public call for the law to be applied in an equitable way deserves nothing but praise.

Just a thought though, wouldn't it be really fantastic if the request for police action from the head of a faux parliament could be followed up by a request from the REAL PARLIAMENT OF GREAT BRITAIN! As I say, just a thought.

Whilst I was over at the Love Music, Hate Racism web site, I noticed comments from two union officials:

John F Smith, General Secretary, Musicians’ Union:
“Our official stance is that the MU deplores the BNP and everything it stands for. We are affiliated to anti racist organisations and we join with the TUC in openly condemning the BNP’s attempts to portray itself as part of mainstream UK politics. Whilst this person has a right to her own personal political views, I believe that the company, as a recipient of public funds, must act in order to maintain its position as a ‘flagship’ for equality and fairness in the arts, and to maintain credibility in the work that it does in the community. Quite how it acts is a matter for the ENB Board.”

Gerry Morrissey, deputy General Secretary, Bectu:
“Simone Clarke earns her living in the subsidised arts and with this goes certain responsibilities, with which she has failed to comply. She has brought our industry into disrepute.”

I really need not comment on what I think of the above but it is interesting to note that there finally appears to be some mature, democratic thinking from at least one union.

Union offers help to BNP ballerina

Equity has offered its assistance to the ballerina at the centre of protests about her membership of the British National Party.
Simone Clarke, an English National Ballet principal and Equity deputy who was revealed as being a BNP member in December, was greeted by placards outside her final performance of Giselle this month, with members of the anti-racist Unite Against Fascism group calling for the company to sack her and some protesters reported to have shouted out at Clarke mid-performance inside the London Coliseum.
This week, Equity has come out in support of the performer’s right to work. According to the union’s rule 3B (p) it “acknowledge[s] the right of individual members to hold and express their personal political and other beliefs both in their private and professional capacities”.
Equity spokesman Martin Brown added: “If ENB were to treat her unfairly, that is something we would expect to represent her for. The law forbids someone from being sacked for their legal political beliefs.

I find the final sentence to be very interesting:

Funny how it does not seem to bother any other union or indeed all those politicians and high profile “celebrities" whose names are listed on the UAF website!

Whilst having my weekly trawl through the many diverse sites on the Internet, my attention was drawn to a comment on the Love Music, Hate Racism web site.

The comment was by Sadiq Khan MP:

“The BNP now has 14 councillors in London, and have gained ground on the back of a rise in racism. In the recent, council elections, the BNP declared that this was a “referendum on Islam”, and they are dividing communities with vicious, racist lies.
It is vital that we tackle the BNP head on and start a united campaign now to stop them making further electoral gains in the 2008 Greater London Assembly elections – the work of Love Music, Hate Racism is vital in celebrating diversity, not extremism. We have to out the BNP for what they really stand for, build strong coalitions of support, and ensure that we involve all communities in a shared and inclusive notion of what it means to be British in the 21st century.”

Now, in any Democracy, such as the one we once lived in, it is up to everyone to have a say in what it was to be of that nation, i.e. in this context, British. No Democratic society should be allowed to marginalise elements of it's citizens because they may have a different idea of what it is to be of that nation. To deny them the opportunity to have a say is to act in a fascist manner, something that anti-nationalist groups seem to embrace far too easily.

Whether your support is for the BNP, UKIP, The Green Party, The National Front, The Conservatives, or even heaven help us Nu Labour, you have the duty to allow, and the right to hear the views of the other parties, providing that their content is legal.

It appears that Nu Labour finally has something to celebrate. After a long time waiting, one Nu Labour policy has finally started to bear fruit and so I offer my heartiest congratulations.

Oh sorry, what I am referring to?

A hostel in Cardiff is banning British people from staying there.

Hostel owner Sion Llewelyn did not want to comment but told the South Wales Echo that the rule was because he did not want unruly British guests spoiling the experience of foreign visitors.

In all fairness (cough, splutter) the Commission for Racial Equality (CRE) Wales has written to the hostel asking it to remove the advert stating that it is illegal.

HOWEVER, Mr Myant of the CRE acknowledged there could be reasons why such a restriction had been imposed which had nothing to do with racism.

"We are not after punishing people because I think I can see some reasons why people running a hotel providing very cheap accommodation might want to restrict it to certain groups and that might have nothing to do with racial prejudice."

Well, of course, I'm sure Mr Myant knows his job better than I do, but as time draws on I think one of the defining questions of 2007 must be:

Taxi drivers refusing to pick up passengers with dogs or alcohol, Pharmacists refusing to dispense contraceptives, separate facilities at swimming pools and leisure centres, what next?

Well, apparently cigarettes!

A smoker was refused cigarettes at a Cambridge store because the Muslim shop assistant said it was against her religion to sell tobacco.

A customer at the WH Smith store said: "I asked for a pack of 20 Lambert & Butler and the woman behind the desk asked me if they were cigarettes.
"When I said they were she told me that it was against her religion to sell them - I couldn't believe my ears."

The interesting twist is that Asim Mumtaz, president of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association in Cambridge, said: "I don't think there is any basis for refusing to sell cigarettes.
"Islam, like most religions, is against anything that injures health or the body, but there is no ban on cigarettes or on smoking.
"The Koran is quite specific about intoxicants, alcohol and other drugs which cause a person to lose control are forbidden, but cigarettes are not forbidden so I am surprised by this."

Do Nu Labour not realise that the Roman Empire is over, or do you think they all sat back recently to watch the re-showing of The Running Man with Arnold Schwarzenegger?

Gordon's latest priority is to support England to host and win the football World Cup in 2018.

Firstly the fact that a Scot is supporting England in this matter has not gone down to well up there, but Mr Brown also said in a statement:

"My ideal scenario is that Scotland play England in the final and Scotland win. But if we don't qualify, or we go out in an earlier round, then I would transfer my allegiance to the other home nation, England."

Hmm, upset the Scottish, unimpress the English and IGNORE the Welsh!

Mr Brown is understood to view a successful World Cup bid as the sort of publicity coup which Mr Blair has enjoyed following London's success in landing the 2012 Olympics.

It's like Cool Brittania all over again.

Never mind the fact that the economy is facing melt down, the prisons are full, crime is rampant, "real" unemployment is at it's highest ever, sectors of society are plotting to overthrow the nation - Gordon Brown will give us the games.

Big Brother vs Undercover Mosque

Whilst I try to avoid the idea of conspiracy theories in principle, I also agree with the idea that just because you are paranoid doesn't mean they are not out to get you.

We really do live in very strange times.

Several z list "celebrities" make some supposedly "racist" comments in a programme that is edited before being aired, where we have no real idea about what is said to the contestants when the camera is not on them, and for all we know could be scripted! What happens?

All the papers in this country, including the ones that once upon a time would have known better, the television channels and even Parliament debate the issue.

There were over 800 - yes that's 800 people murdered in this country last year, where is the front page coverage of that, where is the big debate in Parliament about people who are actually dying?

And so too, the Dispatches programme in which people call for the overthrow of democracy in this country. According to our now draconian laws which have replaced free speech, and judging by the prosecution of the BNP two, clearly laws were broken, serious offences committed.

Where is the coverage of this?

And remember the "Jerry Springer" issue debate in Parliament? The one in which 40000 plus people complained about the airing of this musical? Although in fairness, it was only Christians who were complaining!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, 2007, you ain't seen nothing yet!

What a shambles!

I knew 2007 would be an interesting year, still only in the first month and already things are going from bad to worse. Remember the crisis with there being no room left in prisons, and our heroic Home Secretary telling us all that the crisis was over?

Well guess what, it isn't, in fact it's worse than ever.

On Tuesday, places could not be found for up to 300 criminals. Police stations and even court cells are having to be used to accommodate prisoners with no place else to go.

However, it does appear that there is a solution and perhaps it is this that the Home Secretary is relying on to sort out the problem.

You see, yet another convicted murderer has absconded from Leyhill Open Prison, in South Gloucestershire. The man absconded during a "work placement" at a vinegar factory on Thursday morning at 10:06 a.m..

This is the same prison that has on average one prisoner a week escaping.
Of those that have already escaped, 22 were murderers, five had convictions for manslaughter, 24 were drug dealers, 57 had been convicted of robbery, seven of rape and 125 had committed burglary.

So there you have it, wait another few weeks Mr Reid and there will be plenty of places available in Britain's leaky prison system. Oh, and whilst your at it, get on the phone and arrange for additional migrant workers to go to Gloucestershire.

After all, it appears that the local industry is really struggling to recruit people.

To set things straight at the outset, I am not a Big Brother watcher nor do I have much time for Channel Four in principal, although it is fair to say that they do occasionally surprise me.

I must congratulate them on the current Celebrity edition, even those of us who have ceased to be amazed by the levels to which faux offence could descend could never have seen this one coming.

This absolute fixation on "racism" is pathetic. It is the same as everything under Nu Labour, class everything as an offence and that way no action need be taken against real offenders.

Undoubtedly racism will be a problem in any country that attempts to bring together such disparate groups of people as Britain has done, but the whole issue has been hijacked so that any banter between people of different ethnic groups could be interpreted as racism if that is what you wish to think. The people in the Big Brother house are paid "celebrities" it is a televison programme. If they don't like what is going on they can leave, it is entertainment.

Whilst I totally agree that bullying in any form in the real world is wrong, it must surely be looked at in this context. Any programme of this nature, including the likes of Ramsey's chef programmes, Bad Lad's army etc are full of bullying if that is how you wish to view them. And let's not forget, do away with your television, hand back your licence, sit back and get ready to find out what relentless bullying is all about!

Up and down the country people are beijng subjected to real violent attacks and assault, living in fear because of the daily circumstances in which they live but nothing is being done to help, nothing is being done to make their lives better.

3% detection rates on crime, 50% of criminals given a fine or warning and yet so many people turning their time and attention to people being offended. How many people like myself who have been the victim of a violent assault would be happy to trade that for some offensive behaviour instead?

No, I do not think that racism is not an issue, no, I do not think it shouldn't be taken seriously and no, I do not down play or under underestimate what a shocking affect it can have on individuals.

But that is the problem, racism is no longer about the individual it is now all about distance offence. If someone is offended, let them speak and let them have the right to take offence or not, but surely it is patronising in the extreme for others to take offence for them.

The irony is that the whole "offence agenda" is as usual driven by the sort of people that see the bad in everything. Having read a broad spectrum of comment regarding the Big Brother issue, those that condemn the actions of Jade Goody and her mother as racist tend to have one thing in common, they call them racists then follow it up by calling them thuggish, thick, stupid and repeat the phrase white trash.

Talk about offensive.

It appears that I have been named blog of the week by Central News, it’s quite an honour for a blog that is only 2 months old to be named Blog of the week by anyone!

Looking at the previous blogs of the week on Central News, I hope I didn't make it in for similar reasons to Spicy Cauldron; that would be disappointing!

Central News is run by a supporter of the BNP and therefore if I was to follow current convention I would have to write some sort of disclaimer stating that whilst I support free speech, I do no want anyone to think I have any association with their heinous views and diabolical actions, etc. etc. yada yada yada!

Perhaps I could say that it is a shame that people are drawn to such a party by the BNP's ability to exploit tensions in areas of the country, perhaps I should decry the BNP stance on putting British people first, their views on immigration, Christianity or the fact they hate Jews!

But you see, to do any of that would be to speak the words of someone else or to repeat someone else’s views. I prefer to look at things myself, to make up my own mind having looked at things from all sides.

As I said in a previous post, I have always had a passing interest in politics but like most people the interest tended to focus mostly on interest rates, taxes and that sort of thing.Through the years I confess that at various times I have voted for all the main parties and indeed a few minor ones. The main criterion for my decision has always been the individual candidate regardless of which party they belong to. Obviously they will tend to have a certain outlook based on which party they represent, but there is many an excellent councillor or MP who do an extremely good job for their constituents despite the party they represent.

I work in the service sector and I meet lots of different people each week, old people, young people, people from various ethnic backgrounds and social groups, and we often have time for a chat over a cup of tea or coffee. Setting the world to rights is a favourite pastime for many people and the conversation always goes in the direction they choose, after all, the customer is always right.

Over a number of years I noticed that the topic of conversation started to change, from sports and the state of the health service, people started to talk about immigration, religion, law and order, lack of police and other currently hot topics. To start with it was in a matter of fact almost apologetic way, as if the failings in society are somehow everyone’s fault and we should all feel ashamed of ourselves.
More recently though, people tend to be a lot more open, concerns regarding Islamic terrorism, the force feeding of Halal meet to huge swathes of the population, children being taught all about every other religion in the world except Christianity, Mosques being built all over the place, lack of jobs for British workers, stupid EU regulation, lack of freedom of speech, Government snooping, to name but a few, have all come up.

Imagine that, British people so frustrated and ignored that rather than talk about the weather they would rather get their thoughts on all of the above off their chest to anyone who will listen.

On my favourites page I have a link to mediauk which has a link to all newspapers in this country. Once a week or so I spend a few hours looking at the local news in places up and down the land.

One thing that always strikes me is the difference between local news and national news. Traditionally one would expect the national news to cover the broader issues, take a look at the bigger picture and to offer more analysis of current events, whilst the local paper would cover school fetes and local rubbish collection times and that sort of thing.

That is certainly not the case anymore; local papers have become one of the only reliable sources of news, although there are some noticeable exceptions where they do not let the truth stand in the way of a good story.
Taking a look at a small cross section, one finds local problems caused due to overcrowding, immigration, violence between different cultural and ethnic groups, lack of local job prospects, breakdown of local services, increased violent crime, criticism of local police services and any number of other issues affecting people’s daily lives.

But where is the same attention to these issues from the National News Papers or the main television channels? The simple answer is that there is very little, and when there is it is always to play down the issues.

As a consequence, when incidents happen locally one may be forgiven for thinking that, because you don’t see the same thing happening in the national news, you are just unfortunate to be living in a problem area, and anyway things are not that bad.

Up and down the country people are living in local conditions that make them unhappy, and to add insult to injury they are made to feel that it is a local issue and therefore somehow it must be a local problem, and as they are local, somehow they must be part of the problem.

Keeping things on a local level makes it much easier to keep the problems under wrap. If it was clear that Eastern European immigration was putting British workers out of jobs up and down the country then God forbid, something might have to be done about it. But keep it local and it is easy to close down the argument by accusing locals of being xenophobic or racist and of exaggerating the issues, after all, if British workers weren’t so damned lazy we wouldn’t have to bring in this alternative workforce in the first place. In fact, it’s your own fault!

When the Religious and Racial Hatred Act was being debated I wrote to my local MP and asked what his party intended to do about the continued erosion of free speech. I pointed out that the situation was getting so bad that an increasing number of people would find themselves voting for the BNP as the only party that took the issue seriously. The response was rather patronising including the somewhat contradictory final statement:

“The Conservative party will continue to support all British Citizens regardless of their origins. I must point out that the BNP is a thoroughly nasty racist party, several of whose leading members have been convicted of criminal offences. No decent person should contemplate supporting them.”

To take this at face value I would be forced to believe that the BNP is full of degenerates and thugs, the sort of people who would think nothing of violent confrontations, hounding people out of their jobs, accepting bribes, deception and any number of other offences.

On the other hand, if one takes a slightly more considered approach, one could easily put together a list of several leading members of the Conservative party who have actually been to prison, and various blogs have lists of Labour, Conservative and Liberal Democrat Councillors, party members and the like, with convictions ranging from GBH and murder, through to embezzlement, sexual assault, corruption and voting fraud.

Then there are the recent demonstrations by United Against Fascism in which they protest against people whose political views they do not like by trying to have them removed from their job. They site the justification that the people who they are protesting against would take away other peoples jobs if they had the chance. This group and others like it are supported personally and financially by members of the three main parties.

Every business has its share of “bad eggs”, every supporters group, every religion, every political party, every organisation that incorporates a substantial number of people will end up with people that you could do with out, people that cause embarrassment and have a potential to undermine the success of that particular movement.

But you shouldn't engage with the BNP because they are racist and have a racist agenda in which they favour indigenous white British people!

This is where I am the most confused. How is that in any way different from having a Black Police Association, Asian Police Association, or any of the other hundreds of "Associations" set up to further the rights and ambitions of specific sectors of society. After all, success for a lot of these Associations must come at the expense of someone else. If they feel they are under funded, under resourced, under represented etc, this can only be addressed by removing funding or resources from elsewhere, or in the case of promotion and representation, hold other groups back.

I read today that it is totally wrong to discriminate against someone because of their colour as they are born that way, but the same commentator argued that it was not so bad to criticise Polish people for coming to Britain on the grounds that it is not racist because they are white too. But surely the reason some people do not want Polish people coming over here in the thousands is for the same reason they do not want thousands of people from Africa or Asia. It is nothing to do with colour, it is because an influx of too many people from a differing culture causes a dilution and potential undermining of one’s own. But to protest against Eastern European may be anti-EU or xenophobic, protest against African and Asian immigration and you are a nasty racist.

I have been the victim of racial abuse on a number of occasions, fortunately only verbal. Did I find it upsetting, yes I did, but no more so than any other daily random offensive behaviour aimed at me as I go about daily life in this country.

The last occasion was when a young man and his friends had stopped their car in the middle of the road to have a conversation with some others on the side of the road. I couldn’t get passed so having waited patiently for a minute or so I beeped my horn gently as most people would do. I was met with a torrent of abuse with several phrases calling into question my parentage in the context of being white, told that this particular area belonged to their ethnic grouping and people like me were not welcome there. Under today’s legislation and hysteria surrounding “racism” this could be seen as a very serious offence, and if it were not for the one sided application of the law, the youths may have been facing custodial sentences such as those already passed on several white defendants.

However, I remember when I used to drive to work through Broughton and up to Middleton when I was younger. White kids would stand in the middle of the road and threaten you if you asked them to move, I had my car window broken whilst sat at the traffic lights because someone wanted the packet of cigarettes on the passenger seat. The same sort of incident happens all the time up and down the country.

So is it racist behaviour when you offend someone of a different ethnic group to your own, or is it just offensive?

I have posted on lots of other Blogs, often on anti-BNP sites filled with the same vicious canards and always ask the same thing, give us the details. If the BNP is filled with the vile people you say it is, name them along with their crimes and publicly declared statements against humanity.

To date, all I have seen has been a failed attempt to convict two Senior Members of their party by introducing legislation that makes it an offence now, to say things it would have been ok to say a few years ago, whilst at the same time refusing to take action against other groups of people who have made similar remarks which have included specific threats against this nation.

Oh, there’s also a minibus driver who lost his job; his crime? Well if he drives the bus, other people may not like it and so THEY might attack the vehicle thereby endangering him and his fellow occupants.
And don’t forget the other high profile racist, thuggish, thoroughly nasty member of the BNP party and the serious criminal activities she is involved in? Well in fact, she isn't actually involved in anything criminal (unless you really dislike ballet); in fact she hasn't actually harmed anyone nor done anything wrong. But what she is guilty of is being a member of the BNP, that’s it, nothing else.

Politics is a funny game, one year you can vote for Nu Labour and elect a conservative Government and the next time you vote for Nu Labour you get a communist Government. Vote Conservative one time and that’s what you’ll get, next time round, vote Conservative and you’ll get a socialist Government.

A free democratic society is one in which all people are allowed to have a voice, regardless of whether you like what they have to say.

If the BNP is as described than we have nothing to fear because they will never be acceptable to the majority of British people and therefore we should listen to what they have to say and engage in debate on every occasion.

Debate is the way forward, stop the personal attacks and slanderous statements, give them enough rope and they will hang themselves; or will they? Who knows, a vote for the BNP in the future could in fact be a vote for conservatism.

In my younger days I used to be an avid reader of the fantastic 2000 AD comic. I remember one story in an episode of Judge Dredd in which a member of the public is being stoned before Judge Dredd intervenes and saves him. Everyone there is rounded up and interviewed at the section house as follows (condensed):

Dredd: You! What were you stoning him for?
Person 1: I-I don’t know sir
Dredd: What do you mean; you’re bouncing rocks off some poor sap’s skull and you don’t know why?
Person 1: I-I heard something … He did somethin’ or somethin’
Dredd: Do any of you know why you did this?

Well, having watched half the programme I got bored and decided to give the rest of it a miss. I have to say that there were no surprises, anybody who chooses to look beyond the MSM drivel and main party spin at what is really going on in this country and throughout the world cannot be under any illusion anymore.

The obvious question that the programme does raise is whether or not the Police, Prosecution Service and Government will carry out an immediate investigation followed by criminal proceedings in the same way as they did in the case of the BNP leader.

Having followed the trial of Nick Griffin, and heard some of the comments on last nights programme, there is more than enough evidence to press charges. Even those who felt that it was correct to prosecute Nick Griffin for his comments at a private meeting must agree that his comments and those of his co-defendant were nothing compared to what was seen last night.

"An army of Muslims will arise," predicts one preacher. Another said British Muslims must dismantle British democracy, they must live like a state within a state until they are strong enough to take over.

That's our country they are talking about Mr Blair, when are you going to do something about it?

I was having a conversation with my Dad the other day about the state of today's newspapers. Although not a daily reader, his preferred read is the Telegraph.

It's not a paper that appeals to me because it appears to be written by, and for, people who live in a different society to me and pretty much everyone else I know (sorry Dad).

My attention was drawn (thanks once again Nobby) to a comment piece by Richard Wilson (Lord Wilson of Dinton was Cabinet Secretary and Head of the Civil Service from 1998 to 2002).

Lord Wilson explains that the:

"The Service has done its best to change while remaining true to its traditional values of integrity, selection on merit and political impartiality. Work by Mori shows that over the past two decades, when trust in most professions has not changed, there has been a noticeable rise in trust in civil servants."

"Hordes of visitors come from overseas to learn how we do it."

Who is he trying to kid? And what about his assertion that the Civil Service is now smaller than in the 1970s.

Having read the article in full, I was at least pleased to see that he has the good grace to finish on a joke:

"Civil Service reform is important, but it needs to be accompanied by a hard look at the role of central government. As Gordon Brown has said: ''The British way is to break up centralised institutions that are too remote and insensitive and so devolve power." We live in hope."

Not content with detection rates on crime in some areas being as low as 3%, the Government illustrates it's tough on crime stance with the news that nearly 50% of the tiny minority of criminals that are actually caught get off with a fine or a warning.

More than 600,000 offenders last year were dealt with without even being brought before a court. They escaped with cautions, official warnings or on-the-spot fines.

The report by the Centre for Crime and Justice Studies at King's College, London makes grim reading with murders increasing over the lifetime of this Government by more than a third from 600 in 1997 to 820 last year, violent crime up along with increases in all areas of criminal activity.

This report comes out at a time when the Government is spending so much money on adverts trying to scare people away from benefit fraud. No ifs, no buts, you may find yourself with an interview under caution and a criminal record.

5 years for murder, open prison, home visits, a fine for committing 980 shop lifting offences, 3 months for GBH, a caution for sexual assault, prisons full, Government sleaze, foreign criminals at large, no criminal record check before entering the country, human rights for criminals, householders not allowed to defend themselves, Cash for questions, loans for peerages ...............

With just about everything in this country becoming a crime, from 1 mile an hour over the speed limit, rubbish in the wrong bin, not seating 12 year old children on booster seats, through to revving your engine in a racist manner, and fox hunting, it's no wonder that crime is on the increase, the law has become a joke.

The penalty for continually stealing from your local shop is less than that awarded for disposing of your rubbish in the wrong bin. The jail time for "offending "someone is likely to be four times longer than if you assault them.

Still, with real unemployment in this country running at its highest for decades, perhaps it is appropriate that one particular trade should see such a marked increase, after all, this Government is definitely leading by example.

The way he talks about it you would think that it has all happened on it's own and that he has now come along and said, oops let's all take a look at this and see if we can't sort it out together.

This Government has done more to destroy Britain than any other in history. With the arrival of millions and millions of immigrants in to this country the notion of being British has been rendered somewhat meaningless as there is no real sense of a British identity any more. As a result, under the current policy and the all encompassing influence of the EU, I don't really see how it matters anymore whether we are Britain, or England and Wales.
As for the money, any disparity between Scotland and England in terms of benefits etc, again, what does it matter, the money we pay into the EU already allows many other European Nations to benefit in ways that we are selves are not able to enjoy.

And as for Balkanisation Mr Brown, take a look around England, drive from town to town, city to city, trust me, a split between England and Scotland is the least of your problems.

The continued persecution of the so called BNP Ballerina, Simone Clarke, appears to have the full support of many prominent members of all three main political parities, including David Cameron and members of the Government.

Let's be clear, all the people listed on the contradictorily named "Unite Against Fascism" website appear to believe that anyone who is a member of a political party with views they do not like should have their job taken away from them.

Having been a lifelong supporter of one of the main parties I have to say that I am totally disgusted by their recent and current behaviour.

Seeing the cross section of people supporting this despicable action proves once and for all that the only difference between the three main parties is personalities. All three parties appear to have abandoned any pretence of free speech and the notion of democracy in favour of silencing critics who do not share their views.

It is also worth noting that the Chairman of the Black Police Officers Association is also in favour of this action, thereby rendering the quaint notion of an impartial police service null and void. Interestingly enough, there does not appear to be a representative of the White Police Officer's Association as a member, presumably this would be considered by some at the UAF to be too radical a step in the cause of freedom and equality.

The UAF tries to justify their behaviour by saying they are trying to prevent a political party gaining enough support so that it can carry out the sort of actions that the UAF themselves are engaged in.

To the best of my knowledge to date, their is no evidence to back up any of the assertions that members of the BNP are thugs, criminals (any more than members of the three main parties at least), or that they stir up racial hatred or distribute literature that has that objective. The current legislation in this country with regard to free expression is now so strict that one supposes were any BNP literature to contravene these repressive laws, immediate incarceration would follow.

The conclusion, however regrettable, seems to be that the BNP literature is telling the truth, and that it is this truth that the members and supporters of the main parties and the UAF do not wish us to hear.
Indeed, as time goes on, it is becoming clear that a lot of the information the BNP do provide is correct, and has been held back from the public by the usual suspects.

Action by the UAF and support offered by high profile politicians only provides further evidence of this countries complete slide from a democracy to a totalitarian state.

Anyone on the list with an ounce of decency or the tiniest desire to save this country from totalitarianism should stand up and say that the action being taken is wrong, wrong. wrong.

I have to take my hat off to Tony Blair, he certainly leads from the front. Just when I thought that the hypocrisy of certain members of his Ministerial Team could not be equalled, he puts them all in the shade.

First he presides over the effective dismantling of the Armed Services as a serious fighting force, and now when things have gone too far he starts a debate on what kind of Armed Forces we all want.

Get it, we're all in it together now, nothing to do with us Guvnor, we've only been in power for a decade.

The problem is Tony, we've seen it all before. Perhaps we could have the "Big Arms Convention" in which you ask along carefully preselected cross sections of people who totally agree with everything you say. Or perhaps you could form a consultative committee to advise on what sort of service we want, made up of "the right people".

You wrecked the Armed Services the same way that you have wrecked the whole country, fix the problems, don't fix them, whatever we think, your going to do what you want anyway.

But I for one will remember it was you who chose to reduce funding to such an extent that huge parts of the Forces have had to been mothballed, it is you that have deprived our troops of the equipment that desperately need.

Well, here it is as promised. 2007, the year that none of us will ever forget.

Simone Clarke has come under attack from protesters outside the venue in which she is to perform.

After having her privacy invaded by the Hacks at the Guardian, we now have the spectacle of "Unite against Fascism " representatives demonstrating the values of our modern day democracy.

Watching the various politicians on the television and radio defending the position that whilst it is OK for everyday parents to have to put up with ever reducing assistance in special needs for their children, it's perfectly OK for a Government Minister (who can afford it of course) to pay for a proper standard of care for her children's needs.

Prisoners on the run

The head of the Prison Service has confessed he does not know how many inmates are on the run from open jails.

Director general Phil Wheatley said there was not an accurate system in place to count the numbers recaptured after absconding.

Apparently this "astonishing" admission has put fresh pressure on Home Secretary John Reid.

I very much doubt that, in case anyone has yet to notice, NOBODY in this bankrupt Government cares.

Whatever happened to the missing foreign prisoners, nothing, what will happen with these missing prisoners, nothing.

The premature release of more than 1,000 foreign prisoners who were due to be deported led to the sacking last year of Charles Clarke, Dr Reid's predecessor as Home Secretary.
Dr Reid told the Commons Home Affairs Committee last month that the loophole which allowed the releases had now been closed. But he admitted more than 300 wrongly released prisoners, including one murderer, were still free.

The new row comes 24 hours after Derbyshire Chief Constable David Coleman refused to release pictures of two escaped murderers amid fears it might breach their human rights.

See. So what if people are being robbed, assaulted even murdered by people who should still be under lock and key, that doesn't matter to these people. What's the worst that could happen, a few more stories in the papers, an article on the television, soothing words, then nothing, business as usual.

And what of the opposition parties:

Tory Shadow Home Secretary David Davis said: 'The chaos in the Prison Service continues under John Reid. It is outrageous that the Government does not even know how many prisoners are on the run.
'Yet again the public are put at very serious risk by this Government's incompetence.'

And Liberal Democrat Shadow Home Secretary Nick Clegg said: 'It is really yet another symptom of the Government's self-inflicted overcrowding crisis in our prisons.'

Well there we are, that's telling them, that will have some impact on Government policy.

Nothing should surprise any of us anymore, the way things are going, this time next year we may well look back to now and think, we never had it so good.

Most recently it was local hospital department closures being defended by the very same people who were pushing through the closures, now, yet again, it is one standard for the general population and another for the "elite".

THE child of a cabinet minister, who used to be a key part of Tony Blair’s education team, is to be sent to a £15,000-a-year private school.
The child, who is understood to have dyslexia and could not be named for legal reasons, is going to the home counties school because it is understood the child’s parents feel that their youngster’s needs cannot be adequately dealt with within the state sector.

During the minister’s time spent working in the education team, the government was criticised for closing a number of special needs schools, arguing that such children’s needs could be adequately met in regular state schools.

Of course it is only right that any caring parent should do the very best for their child, but these are the same people who are telling everyone else that the service provided is totally acceptable, just not for them.

What message does this send to the parents of other children with special needs who have not got £15000 a year to spend?

What is the difference between a Dictatorship,in which the favoured few have access to the very best whilst the rest of the population are forced to put up with ever diminishing and failing services, and the present Government of this country?

It appears that certain Christians in this country are seen by many to be the enemy, what with the EU threatening Christian groups who do not wish to be told what they should think, and now Exeter University Evangelical Christian Union being suspended from the student guild and having bank accounts frozen.

The reason for this is that the guild decided to ask members to sign a statement of religious belief.Similar groups have been accused of discrimination against non-Christians and gay people. The union is seeking a judicial review at the High Court.

I think that the fact that only white, Christian, straight people are not allowed to group together with similar people, whilst everyone else can have hundreds if not thousands of organisations that by their very title exclude the rest of us, is outrageous and should no longer be tolerated.

We are only 5 days into 2007 and already the thought police have intruded into so many things that I know things will definitely get far worse before they get better, if they get better.

You know it actually takes an awful lot to make me angry, but sometimes, just sometimes, I come across something that leaves me seething.

I was born in Salford which at the time was Lancashire, now of course part of Greater Manchester. My parents owned a terraced house in a road that was two away from my Mother's Aunt, and four roads away from her Mother. To walk to either my Great Aunt's house, or my Grandparents house took less than 5 minutes and we visited on a daily or certainly weekly basis.

At school I knew huge numbers of other children who had the same circumstances with their parents family living in close proximity to each other.

The extended family was commonplace and that is how most of my generation grew up. Indeed, whilst I no longer live "up North", my parents still live about 5 minutes away from one of my brothers and his family.

In my childhood, discipline came from within the family, the old adage of the child being told off at school leading to even more trouble from ones parents was certainly true.

But more importantly was the feeling of not letting your parents down, the idea of answering back was unthinkable, respect was the order of the day both inside and outside the family.

What caused the change in society, well who knows? I certainly have my suspicions, and these ar being borne out as time goes on, but that is for another day. I certainly still know a lot of people who have the same close knit families, the same sense of family values and who provide the same framework for discipline as they always did. Perhaps standards are what has changed, and what might be interpreted as lack of respect by some, may just be seen as a natural reaction to the changes in society by others.

So what is it that has made my blood boil?

My attention was drawn to the comments section of the Guardian Unlimited and an article by somebody called Sarfraz Manzoor.

In the article, we are informed that perhaps it is we, the "white society" (sic) that should integrate into Muslim values; to whit

"It is easy to dismiss Muslim parents as old-fashioned and traditional, but when the rest of the country is busy wondering how to respond to a culture of rampant disrespect, it is worth considering whether they could learn from Muslim values. Muslim children are more likely to be brought up in two-parent families rather than the single-parent households that are increasingly common in Britain."

"For example, when I was growing up there was no possibility of answering back to my parents, and this was accompanied by an all-pervasive fear of letting them down. This was a model of parenting that put great faith in deference."

""The right to be in a multicultural society," argued the prime minister in a speech last month, "was always implicitly balanced by a duty to integrate, to be part of Britain." Behind these remarks was an assumption that integration is a one-way street. However, there are many things that the rest of the country could learn from Muslims."

He further explains that not only can we whites learn from Muslim values, but also that where individual Muslims are no longer living up to his values for Muslim society, the fault lies with, yes you've guessed it, white society:

"Whether the danger is religious extremism, drugs or crime, those involved are largely third-generation Muslims who are so integrated into white society that they are emulating its worst characteristics. Integration did not save them, it created them."

My family has lived in this country for generations without ever feeling the need to have our values checked by anyone. Despite media propaganda, there are still a lot of places in this country that have relatively low levels of immigration, and contrary to current urban myths, rubbish collection, toilet cleaning, working at McDonald's, sweeping the streets, hell, even Estate Agency is carried out by local British workers with no assistance from outside.

This is a great country filled with great people. We have a history of achievement, of great advancements, a society that on the whole is still populated with people who deep down have the same values as when I was growing up.

We don't need telling what to do, or how to live our lives, we don't need to have groups and religions telling us where we have being going wrong, where we are going wrong and what we need to do to make things better. We have managed thus far without you and I know we will get along just fine in the future.

Up until a few years ago I had never bothered with politics. Sure, I voted at most elections but never paid more than a passing interest, mainly how much tax I was going to have to pay and what was in the budget.

Immigration and multiculturalism has changed all that. Now I find that the common values that have stood me and my family and friends in good stead are wrong, at least that is what the likes of Sarfraz Manzoor would have us believe.

My views and those of people like me are not wrong, we are not bigots or racists, we do not dislike other people because of who they are, because of the colour of their skin or their religious views. That we leave to others such as Sarfraz Manzoor, Nu Labour, The Conservatives, The Liberal Democrats,Ken Livingston, members of Black Association this, or Black Association that, Muslim this or Muslim that, Equality group for this, Equality group for that, the Main Stream Media sleaze merchants, anyone who tells us that we live in areas that are hideously white, the big businesses that want to have cheap labour at any costs, the minority groups who want to undermine the whole of society so that they can push through their own agenda.

These are the racists, these are the bigots. These are the people who gave me no choice in how I wanted society to be.

Had they asked me, and the tens of millions like me, whether or not we wanted this so called enriched society in which our own traditions, values and beliefs would be so freely rubbished by all comers, then my answer, our answer would have been no, no, no.

So to Mr Sarfraz Manzoor, The Guardian, and all the rest of the people that have used their position and authority to abuse me and people like me I say this, I am the common man, and I have had enough.

Over the years, British Airways has seen some turbulent times ranging from the Freddie Laker and the Virgin Airlines competition debacle through to the more recent staff uniform and crucifix saga.

Amongst other events, the recent summer terrorist scare in which thousands of passengers were severely disrupted amply illustrates problems within BA regarding it's ability to respond to the needs of it's customers.

The recent disruption to service caused by severe fog resulted in thousands of bags going missing; two weeks on, and many passengers are still affected with up to 15000 items waiting to be reunited with their owners.

The fact that there is still such a big problem is bad enough, but it now appears that BA are actually profiting from the misery caused.

Passengers who wish to find out about their missing property are being made to ring a premium rate number which sees BA getting up to half of the 3p-a-minute cost of calls, and some desperate callers say they have been on the phone for up to ten fruitless hours, trying and failing to recover bags which in many cases are filled with long-overdue Christmas presents.

BA admitted it did make money from calls to its baggage number, but insisted the charges were necessary to offset the cost of running a call centre in Newcastle.

BA are solely responsible for the loss of passengers luggage and as such all costs should be picked up by them.

The sheer arrogance shown by so many of today's big businesses towards their customers is staggering and would make shocking reading were it not for the fact that such arrogance is commonplace in the public sector and within Government at all levels.

Fortunately it is quite easy to show BA what we think of their attitude, take your business else where. As for the public sector, despite the era of so called "choice", would that it were so simple.

Tax inspectors are being offered bonuses of up to £ 2,000 to squeeze more money out of workers.
They can earn up to three per cent of their salary if they track down more unpaid tax.

This comes at a time when taxes are already at an all time high under Nu Labour even though services stand at an all time low.

Official figures show the taxman takes nearly a quarter of all pay, compared with less than 19 per cent before Labour came to power in 1997.

In 1997, the average worker paid an income tax bill of about £2,900. Today, the average worker pays nearly £5,000.

A typical worker has been forced to hand over an average of almost £120,000 in tax to Gordon Brown since 1997.

Fortunately we should all be due a tax reduction this year as the effect of mass immigration starts to bring in the massive financial benefits promised by the Government - sorry what's that you say, oh that's next year, or the year after or maybe the one after that.

Thanks to Nobby for drawing my attention to the article in the guardian about the persecution of ballerina Simone Clarke. I know this has been covered on a number of blogs but I just wanted to add my own personal view.

Support them or hate them, the BNP is a legal political party in this country. Their members have a point of view that does not contravene the law and they have every right to put forward their own agenda within these confines.

Up and down the country there are groups representing minorities, including some groups that are outlawed in other more civilised countries due to their links to terrorism. These groups are not hounded out of their jobs, indeed many are given our tax money in the form of grants. I disagree with the point of view of any number of these groups, but that does not give me the right to call for them to be sacked.

Recent opinion shows that the BNP can expect to poll up to 7% of the vote, and that is even with out all the appallingly biased reporting against them. That's a lot of people who have decided that they believe their own eyes when it comes to what is happening in this country, rather than the drivel they read and see in the main stream media.

Contrary to what the Labour MP and other members of the Racial "equality" people have said, Miss Clarke has never previously used her position to put forward the BNP agenda. Indeed it was the very same rag that glorifies in reporting her continued harassment that broke the news of her membership.

As we enter 2007, there appears to be no pretence of a free and fair society in this country, we are now overtaken by the likes of Mr Cruddas and the the so called equality councils that want us all to be equal, but some more equal than others!

No other party has to put up with the continued slander and libellous statements made against it. The continued venom spat out at the BNP is an embarrassment to this country and an affront to free speech. It does not do any of the three main parties any credit to behave in this manner and certainly affects the way I and many of the people I know view them.

Well I for one say to Mr Cruddas and all the main parties and media, produce a list of all the criminal activity and thuggish behaviour perpetrated by the BNP so that we may compare and contrast it with the membership of the three main parties. List the atrocities they have perpetrated, give us facts and figures, let us see for ourselves the heinous acts they are guilty of. Prove people like Simone Clarke and her fellow members wrong, once and for all.

Today is the first day of the new year, I think the time has come to put up or shut up.

An Iraqi-born leisure centre worker has been awarded more than £100,000 after winning a discrimination case against his employers in Flintshire.

The company in a statement claimed that Mr Al-Jumard had shown "aggressive and inappropriate behaviour towards staff".

Mr Al-Jumard complained to his employers when two white men, who refused to share a whirlpool bath with two Asian men, were given a refund.

The tribunal in Abergele declared that the manner in which the company bowed to the wishes of the two men revealed its attitude to such issues.

Tribunal chairman Sheila Warren said: "The way that was dealt with was indirect discrimination and showed the attitude of the respondent company to issues of race."

The issue in this case is not one in which anyone was refused entry to the centre but one in which individual visitors did not wish to share with other visitors. What we are talking about is taking away the right of individuals to choose who they associate with, forced integration.

According to the tribunal, two white men should not be given the right to decline a whirlpool bath with two Asians, yet the two Asian men it seems have that right.

Following on from the recent revelations that various councils up and down the country such as Croydon are holding Muslim only sessions, we now have a situation in Wolverhampton where they have started running ethnic minority only swimming sessions.

Wolverhampton City Council employs special life-guards and instructors for the sessions, which are open to the city's black and asian residents only, and the regular workers have to leave.

As a result of flawed PC legislation and wholesale discrimination, we now have a situation in which a white person cannot refuse to share with an asian person, whilst at the same time asian and black people can refuse to share with white people.

This type of discrimination cannot and must not be tolerated, there has to be a decision made. Do we have freedom of choice or do we have forced integration, you can't have it both ways.

It seems that the hypocrisy within the Labour Government really knows no bounds. Government Ministers and other Labour MP's publicly protesting against their own policies is a new low for even this Government, but now it appears that a Junior Health Minister is also standing with his local constituents to protest at the closure of a maternity unit in Bury.

Mr Ivan Lewis, who is the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Care Services , has admitted he was opposing cuts to a hospital in his constituency.

Mr Lewis’s admission is the most potentially damaging yet for the Government as he has personal access to Health Secretary Patricia Hewitt and is responsible for hospital policy

Under changes backed by the Government, maternity units across the north of Manchester are to be closed and replaced by a regional centre, despite huge public opposition.

Mr Lewis said today that the overall change was right in principle but he opposed the exact details of which units should close.

"Under the proposals, Bury, Rochdale, Rossendale and Heywood, a whole chunk of Greater Manchester, will be left without maternity services. My argument is I fully support the need for change — the status quo isn’t right in terms of safety or quality. But in terms of geography, there remains a strong case as part of that reconfiguration for a unit to remain at Bury," he said.

Finally the effect of NU Labour policies is directly affecting their own Ministers and MP's and they are scared they may lose their own seats. They are part of the decision, collective responsibility and all that, so at least have the decency to uphold your own policies, or for every one's sake, just go, now.

BBC1 posts its worst Christmas Day ratings ever

Despite the BBC continuing to lose it's share of the Christmas audience, BBC1 controller Peter Fincham said:

"BBC1 has been at the top of its game this Christmas.
"Overall viewing levels are up, our performance in peak is 11 per cent higher than last year, but most of all we've had a wonderful schedule of programmes that audiences love - Doctor Who, Eastenders, The Vicar of Dibley, Strictly Come Dancing and Little Britain have proved an irresistible combination.
"What this shows is that family viewing is alive and well and in excellent health. There's lots more to come over the festive season, which is showing once again that when the family gets together, BBC One is the place to be."

So there you are, no matter what the figures say, the BBC is going from strength to strength. Anyone looking for a change in direction in 2007, don't hold your breath; as far as Auntie is concerned, she's right on target.

Oh, and congratulations to Channel Four for attracting 900,000 viewers to their Islam message on Christmas day, I hope it was worth it.

Britain finally pays off World War Two loans

The government said it will on Friday pay back the final instalments of loans taken out at the end of World War Two to finance vital reconstruction.
The payments of $83.25 million (42.4 million pounds) to the United States and $22.7 million to Canada will close the final chapter of the war and mean that in total the country has paid close to twice what it borrowed in 1945 and 1946.

Britain borrowed a total of $4.3 billion from the United States in 1945, followed in 1946 by a loan of $1.2 billion from Canada.

Now that this money has been finally paid off, perhaps the Government will turn it's attention to the current conflict that is going on and provide our troops with the resources they so desperately need.

I was born and spent the first twenty odd years of my life in Salford, Greater Manchester, and it was therefore with great interest that I read the article on the BBC web site regarding Hazel Blears, their local MP. (Thanks to Nobby)

Ms Blears is of course a Cabinet Minister for the Government in the role of Labour "Chairperson".

That being the same Government that is trying to push through changes in Maternity provision that she is protesting.

Is there no end to the duplicity of these people that "represent" us.

As Geoff Martin, Head of Campaigns for Campaign group Health Emergency puts it:

"If the closure of maternity services is wrong in Salford, it is wrong
in all those other parts of the country as well and Blears should be piling on
pressure to ditch the cuts policy or she should resign"

Respect Zones

The Government is to spend even more money on a new initiative to tackle the problem of anti-social behaviour.

In return for extra funding, the 40 areas - to be identified next month - would be expected to use their full powers to combat anti-social behaviour.

Louise Casey, the government's "coordinator for respect", said: "We approached these local authorities and asked if they wanted to become 'respect' areas, and now they have signed up for it.

"The figures very clearly show that kids who are breaching Asbos are breaching everything else as well.
"It is not the failure of the Asbo; it is the failure of getting the offending behaviour of that young person under control."

Well, I'm sure this is a very nice New Year initiative from the Government who have also promised to issue guidelines to help authorities deal with anti-social activities, but as usual I think they are missing the point.

This Government have been in power for a decade. It has been their responsibility to "get tough on crime, tough on the causes of crime". What a dismal failure they have been.

Please, please don't spend another penny of our hard earned taxes on futile gesture politics.

This country deserves to be a national respect zone, not to have singled out areas, no doubt labour marginals, and it should be a national issue, tackled at a national level.

Yes I know there are areas of the country which have specific problems that are more severe than other areas but this cannot be tackled by spending more money or introducing more and more and more legislation.

Anti-social behaviour is very difficult to tackle because it is a very subjective term to begin with.
Labelling all behaviour that "offends" an individual as anti-social undermines the whole concept. When I am trying to sleep and my neighbours have a noisy party, should I call the police and should they be served with an ASBO?
What if they have a party once a month, once a week, or every night?

In a multicultural society it becomes harder and harder to recognise what constitutes anti-social behaviour. What may be seen as tradition in one country would be construed as very anti-social in another. This worked fine when we had separate countries to live with and this is the very tradition of nations working together with broadly the same ideas and outlook on life.

Under Nu Labour, Nu Britain is now a melting pot of different cultures and traditions. Church bell ringing has been restricted in some areas due to it being classified as anti-social and yet Mosques may broadcast over loud speakers 5 times a day in others. In a 24 hour society people work at different times, so if I use my drill at 3:00 in the morning, I'm not being anti-social because it's the middle of the afternoon to me.

You may think that I have missed the point because this is not really what they are talking about. They are talking about "hoodies" terrorising the neighbourhood, intimidating people and the like.

Well, that's problem number one: the boundary between illegal behaviour and undesirable behaviour has become very blurred.

It may not be pleasant to walk through a crowd of youngsters whilst visiting the local takeaway or wherever it may be, but if you are not assaulted either verbally or physically, if they do not bar your way or make threats then it is your problem not theirs.

If they were to carry out any of the above then it would be an offence at which point then something should be done.

But this brings us to problem two: very rarely is anything done, indeed a lot of people's perception is that the police will only attend if they, the aggrieved party, take some sort of action themselves.

On the rare occasions that the police do arrive quickly enough to apprehend the offender then a lot of the time no action will be taken other than to move the offenders on.

On the even rarer occasion that the offender is arrested and prosecuted, we then find the third and biggest problem that is faced by us all, regardless of how much money the Government spends now or in the future; the punishment does not fit the crime.

Whilst Judges promise us that they will not consider a prisoner for parole on a life sentence for at least five years, and when it is the case that shop lifters are almost never considered for imprisonment no matter how many offences thay commit or to what value, when criminals feel that they are pretty much invulnerable as some police force's detection rate run as low as 3%, what reason is there to fear the law.

In most cases, offenders of the kind the Government wants to target know that nothing will happen to them, I know nothing will happen to them, and I imagine anyone who reads this knows nothing will happen to them.

That is what has to change, and that does not need any extra money, not one penny. All it needs is the will and determination to enforce the law and allow society to put the victim first, to allow children to grow up with the discipline and sense of values that come from a secure family upbringing.

Surprisingly, this is what we had before successive Governments decided they knew best and needed to "intervene" in people's lives.

So once again Mr Blair, save our money and do what you are paid for, which is to represent us, the law abiding decent people of this country, and stop wasting all our times with puerile gestures like respect zones.

"Honours"

With the news that a famous Pop Star is to join a fellow famous Pop Star with an honourable award, isn't it time to put an end to this outmoded, corrupt system of populist, political nonsense.

I have to confess that I have never been a great supporter of the Honours list as I have always thought that it singles out people in such a subjective way.

However, with the current police investigation still ongoing into cash for honours, surely most people must recognise that now is the time to call a final halt to this discredited system.

These days I regret to say that the Monarchy has become irrelevant with the move from being Defender of the Faith to seemingly Defender of any Faith, speeches written for the Queen that have no real relevance to the British people, and Honours lists that mean little to everyday people.

As for any list by the Government, who would want to be on that, tainted as it is?

Hasn't the Government heard, the British Empire is over, British Honours are worthless. How does a Government that has done more than any previous Government in history to destroy our way of life dare to put together lists of Honours that include:

Member of the British Empire,
Order of the British Empire etc.

This is Nu Britain, the all inclusive World Order country.

Watch out Mr Blair, if you continue to make these sort of "racist" awards you may well have Trevor Phillips knocking on your door.

David Icke - Was He Right

I've just watched a fascinating programme about David Icke, and whilst I don't know much about his reptilian ideas or some of his other views, I can tell you that his observation of the Orwellian and fascist state of this country is spot on.

It was interesting to watch the police intervention when he was filming outside the Houses of Parliament, him asking what the problem was as they were all on CCTV anyway.

Blair plan for 'people's panels'

Blair has called for the formation of "people's panels" to advise on how to push through public service reforms.

"One of Mr Blair's aides said the "major extension" in public engagement would go some way to providing a "crucial route map to the future".
He said: "It recognises that politics is changing, the public level of expectations is rising both in terms of the provision which they receive and the right which they have to influence those services.
"This engagement process will identify in more detail the areas which the public want us to focus on and develop a series of radical and progressive solutions," he added."

What is the point of peoples panels? Hiding behind hand picked people's panels is every bit the gimmick that the Big Conversation was, and at least in 2003 the Government had a shred of credibility.

Why not do us all a favour for once and tell it like it is?

What we are talking about is wholesale Government interference in people's lives.

Smoking, over-eating, eating the wrong things, alcohol consumption will be first on the list and the Government intends to embark on withdrawal of service from those sectors of society that refuse to do what they are told.

Notwithstanding that we pay for the services, we will soon have to qualify for what we get. If we do not fill our side of the "contract" we will not receive the service.

Mr Blair, do us all a favour and mind your own business, stay out of our lives, your kind concern is not required. As far as services are concerned, we pay for them, you deliver them. That is the contract, it's not for you to tell us what we should do in order to qualify for "your" services. You work for us not the other way round.

If you can't afford the services anymore I suggest you stop giving our money away to other countries, and stop spending it subsidising the social engineering you are engaging in.

After all, it's not as if you haven't taken enough of it is it? (See previous post)

With all this extra money the Government has collected, services must surely be at an all time high. Well ..... no, actually.

"Healthcare in this country is still a disgrace, schools are failing and violent crime is out of control because Brown has carelessly thrown cash at everything instead of actually improving services by reforming them. "Politicians like Brown need to understand that people's tolerance for this sort of old-fashioned tax and spend policy is rapidly diminishing. People rightly want to be able to keep more of their own money to spend on their own priorities. "Ordinary families have effectively had to work from 1997 to 2001 for Gordon Brown. Only since 2001 have they been able to work for themselves."

Even those who have kept their head in the sand for the last decade must now finally see the true results of multiculturalism both in terms of financial and social costs.

Throughout 2007 I think we will see more and more evidence of the complete and utter disaster the Government has made of this country, and the true cost of their Marxist policies.

And remember, so far there is no hint of a change to the open door policy within this country, and there are also two more sets of "replacement workers" due to descend on this country over the next few months.

When your local council tells you that they welcome all these new people and how great and enriching this diversity is, ask them why your council tax is going up so much, why services have been reduced and just who is actually benefiting.

I for one think that enough is enough.
